The Berggruen Institute—an organization exploring the ideas we need for our changing world—is calling for original essays that explore the theme of Consciousness, one of philosophy’s most enduring questions.

The Institute is pleased to offer a monetary prize for the winning essays, with at least one awarded for an essay in English, and at least one awarded for an essay in Chinese.
