Dr. Imants Barušs is a professor in the Department of Psychology at King’s University College.
With expertise in consciousness studies, Professor Barušs teaches undergraduate courses about consciousness, altered states of consciousness, and the psychology of religion and spirituality. His current research is concerned with apparent after-death communication with cell phones. He regularly supervises undergraduate theses in psychology, many of which have been presented at conferences and published in academic journals. He is the author of eight books and more than 80 papers and reviews, and he has given or co-authored over 100 presentations at conferences and universities around the world.
Dr. Barušs is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Scientific Exploration, a Consulting Editor of the Psychology of Consciousness, and a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, the Society for Scientific Exploration, and the Society for Consciousness Studies, which he co-founded.
