Silvia Jonas is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Bamberg, an external member of the Munich Center for Mathematical Philosophy (MCMP), and an associated member of the Konstanz Center for Philosophy of Mathematics. She also serves on the board of trustees of the Martin Buber Society of Fellows and is a trusted advisor for the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk (ELES).

Her research focuses on metaphysics and epistemology, philosophy of mathematics, and philosophy of science. Central to her work are questions about how mathematics shapes the philosophical conceptualization of reality, whether reality extends beyond the physical realm, and whether knowledge is possible beyond the limits of language.

In 2023, Jonas was awarded the Karl-Heinz Hoffmann-Prize by the Bavarian Academy of Sciences for outstanding achievements in the field of philosophy.
