Dr. Ivcevic’s research interests center around the role of emotion and emotions and self-regulation in creativity across domains, as well as self-expression in different contexts of everyday life.
She collaborated with colleagues from China, Denmark, Spain, China, and Croatia and published her research in journals such as Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Journal of Personality, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Creativity Research Journal, Journal of Creative Behavior and others. She is Associate Editor of Creativity Research Journal, and served as Associate Editor of Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts, and the International Journal of Creativity and Problem Solving.
Dr. Ivcevic received the Award for Excellence in Research from the Mensa Education and Research Foundation for her research on emotional intelligence an emotional creativity, as well as the Berlyne Award for Outstanding Early Career Achievement in psychology of aesthetics, creativity and the arts. She has been elected Fellow of the Division 10 of the Division 10 of the American Psychological Association.
